Count and summarise with meaning

Before making a revenue report, distinguish order count, total and average. Also learn why the number of customers can differ from the number of their known email values.

COUNT counts, SUM adds and AVG averages. COUNT(*) counts rows; COUNT(column) skips NULL values in that column.

Aggregate function: A calculation returning a summary value from input rows, such as count, total or average.
